Dad Has Been Keeping Secrets From Everyone For The Past Year, Reveals Them At Wedding

Weddings are some of the most memorable and important gatherings that any two families can share.

If you’ve ever been to one, you know how absolutely amazing it is. I’ve gone to my fair share of weddings, but last year was the first time I got to do a speech.

I prepped forever to make sure it was perfect. I nailed it, and everyone enjoyed the crazy stories I shared.

I thought I had knocked it out of the park. And I did – but I had nothing on the father of the bride.

When he got up to do his speech, everyone hushed. His speech left everyone teary eyed but beaming.

Keep in mind that this guy, like most dads, had a huge impact on his little girl growing up.

He gave her away to the person she loves most in the world. He was and still is a big part of her life.

Because of that wedding, I thought I had probably seen all the dad speeches out there. But I was so wrong.

There’s a dad out there somewhere that absolutely deserves a “Dad of the Year” award for the story I’m about to share!

Nicole Corte was ecstatic. Her big day had gone off without a hitch.

The vows were said, the guests had changed venues without anyone getting lost, and everyone was enjoying drinks.

Cue her dad. Nicole knew he’d play a big role on her big day, but she didn’t expect this.

He took the stage (Hartland’s ‘I loved her first’ began playing as he did, causing Nicole to test up immediately) and delivered this moving performance.

Knowing Nicole’s passion for sign language as an ASL instructor, her father had spent the last year learning to sign.

Now he put those skills to use as he preformed along with the song.

The loving display was captured on camera and uploaded to YouTube.

In the description, Nicole wrote, “My dad surprised me at my wedding reception with a lovely song. I’m a sign language interpreter, so this meant a whole lot to me. It took him a year to learn it”.

With so much love in both sides, it’s no wonder it’s been viewed over 26 million times!

It reminds us all that even though we may be “giving away” our children when they get married, we can still remain close.

It also gives us some #weddinggoals that we aren’t sure many can live up to!
